Sparkling Creations originally started in 1993 with the Grateful Dead/John Barlow quote,

Without Love in the Dream, It Will Never Come True!

I started my bead career while touring with the Grateful Dead in the early 1990’s. From the very beginning I began dreaming of opening my own bead store. I began traveling with my favorite bands while selling jewelry to start saving for my dreams. I wanted to gain experience working with all kinds of people, observing customers desires, wants and preferred styles of jewelry. A few years down the road I landed my dream job managing a bead store in Durango, CO. This was the job I needed to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to run a successful bead store. During my years in Durango I also had the opportunity to grow within the Gem Show community throughout the American Southwest. After years of research I went back on the road, this time selling my jewelry creations at art fairs, music festivals and private events. While I lived in my van and traveled this country’s highways; I experienced a lifetime of adventure, experiencing amazing music, meeting people from all over, and forming the best friendships of my life. After 13 exciting years of honing my specialty craft and saving money from sales on the road, I made my dream happen In 2006, Sparkling Creations opened it’s doors in downtown Hood River, OR.

The store front gave me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people. I shared light and sparkle with so many and learned from each and every customer about the amazing community I have the honor of being a part of. The 14 years in my store front have been the greatest chapter in my life, but I felt the need to continue to evolve my dreams. In order to focus on the next chapter for Sparkling Creations I decided to close the store front in 2020 and bring my dreams back to its roots with a full time online presence. I will continue to provide you with the highest quality products and unparalleled customer service. I will continue to serve as a bead, gemstone, and specialty jewelry provider. You can now find Sparkling Creations online, social media, pop-up shows, trunk shows and private occasions. I still offer lessons, repairs and custom jewelry.
